Carolina @ New Orleans

First place is on the line as both teams come in at 8-3. New Orleans won the first meeting with Carolina. In that game, the New Orleans defense forced Cam Newton into 3 interceptions while sacking him 4 times. An interesting matchup to watch is the 3rd ranked New Orleans run game against the 3rd ranked Carolina run defense. New Orleans 30-27

Washington @ Dallas

Dallas has won the last three meetings with Washington but this isn’t the same Dallas team now. The Dallas offense has scored 9 points or less in each of their last three games. All those games have been without Ezekiel Elliott. Dak Prescott has 0 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in his last three games. Washington 23-17

Minnesota @ Atlanta

Minnesota has won 7 in a row and Atlanta has gotten hot of late, winning their last three. Devonta Freeman returns which helps an Atlanta offense that has scored 68 points in their last two games. Atlanta 27-24

New England @ Buffalo

These teams split the season series last year but Tom Brady didn’t play in New England’s loss to Buffalo due to the suspension he served. Brady has had very good success against Buffalo in his career. The New England defense has allowed just 61 points in their last 5 games. New England 34-13

San Francisco @ Chicago

Last year when these teams met, Colin Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert combined for 39 yards passing. The Jimmy Garoppolo era starts in San Francisco this week. Chicago plays better at home than they do on the road. Look for a big day from Jordan Howard against a bad San Francisco run defense. Chicago 24-14

LAR @ Arizona

Despite injuries to their starting and backup quarterbacks, as well as David Johnson, Arizona is 5-6 and haven’t fallen apart. They are coming off an upset win over Jacksonville at home but now face a Los Angeles team that they lost 33-0 to back in October. LAR 30-17

Tampa Bay @ Green Bay

Jameis Winston returns after missing the last 3 games due to injury. Brett Hundley is coming off his best game of the season last week after throwing for 3 touchdowns against Pittsburgh. Tampa Bay is just 1-5 on the road this season. Green Bay 24-21

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville

Jacksonville is 3-0 after losses this season. Indianapolis is the perfect opponent for them to rebound against after last weeks loss to Arizona. Back in week 7, Jacksonville beat Indianapolis 27-0 behind an offense that put up 518 yards of offense and a defense that sacked Jacoby Brissett 10 times. Jacksonville 31-10

Denver @ Miami

Miami has lost 5 in a row and has turned it over 8 times in their last two games. Jay Cutler returns at quarterback. Denver has lost 7 in a row and has been held to under 20 points in 6 of those games. Trevor Siemian returns at quarterback. Aqib Talib is suspended for this game which will hurt the Denver defense. Two bad football teams. Miami 20-16

Kansas City @ NYJ

Kansas City has lost 5 out of their last 6 games and has rushed for over 100 yards just once during that stretch of games. They had over 100 yards in each of their first five wins to start the season. New York has allowed 120 yards per game on the ground. They’ve played well at home this year but they’ve struggled late in games. Kansas City is due for a win but it won’t be easy against a competitive New York team. Kansas City 24-20

Houston @ Tennessee

Houston beat Tennessee at home this year but that was with Deshaun Watson at quarterback. They are 1-4 when Tom Savage starts. Tennessee 27-16

NYG @ Oakland

With Eli Manning getting benched its Geno Smith at quarterback this week. He should get Sterling Shepherd back which helps but has little help around him. Ranked 31st in offense and 22nd in defense, I don’t see how benching Eli makes them any better. Oakland will be without their top two receivers in Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper. Oakland 24-17

Detroit @ Baltimore

Baltimore currently holds a wildcard spot thanks to their 2nd ranked defense. After beating Brett Hundley and Tom Savage the last two weeks they now face Matthew Stafford. Detroit is 4-1 on the road this year. Detroit 23-19

Cleveland @ LAC

Cleveland beat Los Angeles 20-17 last year. Los Angeles is a much better team this year and are just one game out of first place. They are 4th in sacks while Cleveland has allowed the 3rd most sacks this year. Philip Rivers is coming off his best game of the season with 434 yards passing against Dallas. LAC 28-13

Philadelphia @ Seattle

Seattle beat Philadelphia 26-15 at home last year. Carson Wentz leads all quarterbacks with 28 touchdown passes. Russell Wilson is 3rd with 23 touchdowns. Both teams have top 10 defenses with Philadelphia allowing the 3rd fewest points while Seattle allows the 9th fewest. Should be a good one. Philadelphia 34-31

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati

Pittsburgh has played down to competition this year as they’ve lost to Chicago and have close wins over Indianapolis and Green Bay but have dominated this series. Pittsburgh has won 5 out of their last 6 over Cincinnati. Le’Veon Bell had 134 yards rushing against Cincinnati earlier in the season. Pittsburgh 27-20

Record: Last week 13-3, Season 112-62
